I have a long list of things I could prepare for my D&D worlds, as well as writing and videos I want to do for D&D, not to mention a myriad of non-D&D projects. So why did I come up with a semi-binary, 5-bit, base 24 elvish numeral system instead?

Searching for more information about the lay of the land around the bugbear crag, the party ends up ambushing a patrol, but when the ambush doesn't get surprise, the battle is far more even than intended.
